Ninel Alexandrovna Kurgapkina was a leading ballerina (Prima Ballerina) with Russia's Kirov Ballet for 25 years. During her tenure with the legendary company, she became renowned for her distinctive style- which blended impeccable technique with passionate acting. In 1966, Kurgapkina was honored as a Merited Artist of the R.S.F.S.R. Following her retirement from the Kirov in 1972 she continues to make her mark on the ballet world, becoming the Director of the prestigious St. Petersburg Choreographic School. THE PROGRAM: V.I.E.W.
